COURT REFURBISHMENT!

The court refurbishment has begun today - Thursday 29th July, 2021.

The court will be thoroughly cleaned, repaired, resealed, repainted and a new net installed. Whilst it is frustrating that we will lose a weekend in the summer the delays caused by the rather unseasonal weather and covid isolations have been unavoidable. Hopefully, the coming days will see a much brighter and suitable facility for everyone to enjoy.

Update 31/5/21

Thank you to all members who have renewed for 2021/22 - if others wish or are yet to please email.

The gate code will change from 1/6/21.

We have also been advised from Pett Parish Council that the drainage works to the west of the court are due to commence week beginning 7th June - so good news on the horizon. After completion we can push for the renewal works to the court surface safe in the knowledge that future water and silt ingress will have been tackled - thank you PPC.

Enjoy the sunshine and your games in it.

Please see below meeting notes from club zoom meeting of 24th March, 2021.

Please see below link to guidance from Sport England regarding tier 4 outdoor sport regulations from 20/12/20. The court remains open but with limits placed on pairs play only.

Booking System

The recent feedback survey indicated a desire for an online booking system. As such this has been actioned for use commencing 13th July - Please see the bookings page on this site. It is recommended that you bookmark this site and booking page as it is not a public site.

Next steps

As you may be aware a couple of years ago we refreshed the court markings and net. In parallel with this the parish council helped support the club by improving the water run off and drainage to the West of the court.

This has allowed a greater and more beneficial use of the court but we now face the neccessity to have the court relayed in order for it to be enjoyed for years to come.

This obviously comes at a, not inconsiderable, cost. Quotes are presently being obtained and a fundraisng and project timetable will follow.

Any support possible would be appreciated.
